Phrynosoma platyrhinos (P.p. calidiarum) is easy to see in the hand (below) but hard to see under the bush (top). This Lizard depends on its stealth appearance to fend off evil doers. Sadly playing dead does no good to stop the undiscriminating tire of an ORV.
